Play PUBG free on Xbox One: Here's how to download PUBG on Xbox One

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds or PUBG, within a short span of release, has become the popular title for gaming enthusiasts across multiple platforms. The battle royale will be available to download and play for free on Xbox One for a limited time. As part of the Xbox 'Free Play Days For All event', Xbox Live members without a Gold membership will be able to download the full version of PUBG for free. The limited-time offer is from November 8 to November 11 and those on the fence about purchasing the game on Xbox One will get a chance to play and test the game before making the dive. PUBG along with PES 2019 are the two titles that will be available for download for free during the Xbox Free Play Days event.

As you know, PUBG was made available on the Xbox One console a couple of months earlier and costs $30 (approximately Rs. 2200). The mobile version of the game, however, is available for free to download and play. During the event, PUBG gamers will be able to play online with their friends on their Xbox One. The title otherwise requires Xbox Live Gold membership with in-app purchases ranging from $4.99 to $99.99.

Interestingly, PUBG for PS4 is scheduled to release sometime in December and we suspect Microsoft, which owns Xbox, is trying to get as many players on board. Morover, with Black Friday approaching on November 23, the battle royal will further witness discounts at Target, Best Buy and Walmart. While PUBG for Xbox One costs $30, it will be available for less than $20 (approximately Rs. 1,449) during the sale period.

PUBG for Xbox One has players battling it out, similar to Fortnite, but has a more tactical approach to it. Players can choose between three different maps and purchase different customisations as in-app purchases. As a huge fan of the Resident Evil series, I was very happy to see the game return to more of its roots. While definitely much better then the 5th and 6th game in the series, it wasn't exactly like the 1st and 2nd games. Nonetheless, I still enjoyed working my way through the old Baker family house. The attention to details, puzzles, and story kept me entertained throughout the game. I have yet to work on the DLC but I'm sure it'll be fun!I spent hours playing this one along with Alladin. This requires utmost attention and a slight mistake will lead to an end. Both the games (this one and Alladin) came in as bundled in one of the earlier cassette type instrument which when inserted in a video-game machine could be played by connecting to the Television.

The masters of spectacle combat PlatinumGames (Bayonetta, Vanquish) are the developers this time around which brings welcome improvement to the gameplay of the first one. In terms of gameplay, I'm particularly fond of the bullet hell mechanics which spices up the regular hack n' slash combat significantly. In terms of story, themes and characters I'm fond of how it plays to the medium's strengths, Nier: Automata would hardly work as anything but a game. And lastly, in terms of the audiovisual, I absolutely adore the divine soundtrack.
